| Biography: Scott Mulholland – Career Highlights (2007 – 2009) January, 2009 | Scott's Work Joins Pierce County's Art Bank Scott's painting, Fall on the Hill in Tacoma, has been selected for inclusion in Pierce County's Art Bank, a collection of portable artworks displayed in public spaces of Pierce County offices. The selection process involved a panel of five people - representing various aspects of leadership in the arts community and the community at large - reviewing over 300 works from local artists. October, 2008 Scott's month-long solo exhibit at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts Gallery on the South Puget Sound Community College campus began October 7th, 2008. Thank you to all our family and friends who made it to the show. September, 2008 Scott joins Dale Chihuly in his belief in the importance of giving our older population an outlet for their creativity, wisdom, and powerful voices. He has been asked to teach at retirement homes and senior centers throughout the Puget Sound with Chihuly's nonprofit group: Seniors Making Art. January, 2008 Following his Best in Show win at the SPSCC's Regional Juried Art Exhibit, Scott was featured in an article in The Olympian on January 3rd, 2008. December, 2007 Scott Mulholland took Best in Show at the 3rd Annual Regional Juried Art Exhibit at SPSCC in December, 2007. He was thrilled to see so many of his students at the Exhibit Reception on January 4th from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts Gallery on the South Puget Sound Community College campus. The competition was open to all 2-D, 3-D and digital media; and the winning works were selected by Rock Hushka, the curator of the Tacoma Art Museum. Scott's winning painting - Red, White & Blue - was selected as the best work across all mediums. It was also honored as Best Painting in the 2005 Proctor Art Festival. |
