Artist Statement:

Born out of conflict and the need for resolution my current work focuses on the combination of various elements in an attempt to strive towards harmony. Each painting consists of two or more subjects that have been dissected and divided among a larger pattern. Not always apparent, each section requires close inspection to actually see that the individual sections are part of a larger subject. The work I do is a direct response to my own personal

circumstances, it is my means of working through my own inadequacies. Questions of who am I, where do I belong, and striving to retain a sense of identity while still fulfilling others expectations are a few of the thoughts that guide me through the process. It is in this process that the work is revealed to me.
