Artist Statement:

My name is Don De Leva, I'm an artist of 45 years.  I have been creating art for 26 years focusing on painting for the last 16.  My paintings are based on intuition, dreams, shape and color. I am fascinated by Automatic thought and how color suggests shape, lines suggest depth and how these elements build a final image.

I was born in Brooklyn, NY, 1964. I grew up in Southern Orange county CA in the 70s and 80s. I earned a BFA from the University of the Pacific, Stockton CA and a Masters in printmaking and drawing from Bradley University, Peoria, IL. I graduated in 1991 and moved to Seattle Wa, home of the Northwest Mystics.
